Information about Monkeypox:
  • The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) is currently tracking cases of monkeypox recently detected in the United States. Harris County Public Health urges healthcare providers across the county to be alert for patients who have rash illnesses consistent with monkeypox. 
  • MONKEYPOX HOTLINE: HCPH has set up a hotline for monkeypox guidance. Residents who have questions regarding testing, vaccinations, and more monkeypox guidance are encouraged to call 832-927-0707.

COVID-19 Vaccine Walk-Up Clinics
  • Beginning June 24th, COVID-19 vaccines for children 6 months of age and older will be available at all HCPH vaccination sites. All vaccinations provided by HCPH are free and appointments are not required. 
  • Parents who would like to schedule an appointment may do so through ReadyHarris.org or vacstrac.hctx.net beginning Monday, June 27th. Call 832-927-8787 or sign up online to schedule your child's appointment. 
  • Make sure to check out our local provider list for additional vaccination opportunities. 
  • If you lost your COVID-19 vaccination card and need one, please call 832-927-8787 for assistance.

Harris County Public Health's HART (Holistic Assistance Response Team) Program

  • A New Approach to Violence Prevention Harris County Public Health’s (HCPH) new Community Health Violence Prevention Services (CHVPS) uses a public health approach to disrupt violence and provide an alternative to law enforcement for non-violent 911 calls. Cypress Station is a pilot community for two new initiatives, the Holistic Assistance Response Team or HART and the Community Violence Interruption Program or CVIP. These initiatives address the root causes of violence and put additional social services, medical, mental, and behavioral health resources in the community. No documentation required.
